The Dust Bowl

The Dust Bowl was an agricultural disaster that consisted of many dust storms and severe droughts, the timeline of The Dust Bowl lasted 8 years, and mostly in the Southern Plains.

The areas that were affected by The Dust Bowl

The Dust Bowl was caused by overplowing and planting of wheat in the grasslands. At the start of the 1930's, droughts had become more severe and even though this had happened, many farmers had still farmed. Rain had finally came back in 1939, which was an event that helped pull the U.S. out of the Great Depression.
